strawberry choco dips

My strawberry dipped-into-chocolate-snack for the Icip-Icip article I made years back. This would make a lovely sweet-sour snack for this particular hour, don't you think? Right, with a glass of iced coffee, please!
How to make: Melt a block of dark chocolate in a bowl on top of a boiling pan. Make sure no water drips in to the chocolate. Dip in your washed strawberries in to the chocolate and leave to rest on a plate. After all done, refrigerate all berries until the chocolate has hardened.

smoked salmon and scrambled eggs

Because it's my favorite month, coz it's my birthday month (yippeee!), this is an Icip-icip favorite. This one is kinda climbing up the charts in terms of flavor and food styling. Both recipe and styling were very simple but made a great output. Thanks for the help of photographer Adi Nugroho, my partner in crime for most of my Icip-icip pictures, we got the morning kind of breakfast light I requested, whereas the picture was taken in a gloomy studio. He makes magic! Miss him dearly. This recipe is one of Jamie Oliver's . It's a must try for all you salmon lovers. Guaranteed.

fruit paradise

Mind me, here's a really late icip-icip recipe, but a fresh one to break the fast on one of these days.  Ingredients: Strawberries, 1 pineapple, 1 apple, 2 kiwi fruits, 1 mango, orange syrup, water, ice cubes. How to make: Cut a 1/4 of the pineapple then take out the flesh of the left 3/4 to make the fruit basket. Cut the flesh in cubes together with all other fruits. Put in bowl and set aside. Stir in the syrup with water and add ice cubes in another bowl. Stir all fruits with syrup all together in one bowl, just for a stir or two (not to much or then it'll get mushy). Then, pour in to the pineapple basket. Serve immediately

dapur gawat darurat

or 'kitchen emergency'.  The concept of this Icip-icip article was dishes that you could cook with the limited ingredients in your kitchen - shown in the picture. The emergency recipes included fried rice, fried noodles, and omelette noodles, really basic recipes but well loved (and filling). I did find it quite hard to style these ingredients, the composition never seemed quite right at first. Here's how the final result looked like. Laily Rachev took the picture and with a touch of magic, the colors came out very pretty. These ingredients are real dull in color. Oh, I miss styling food...

healthy smoothie

I hope not too late for an easy Icip-icip recipe shot by Rici Linde:) This smoothie consists mango, kiwi, orange, and plain yogurt. No need to add sugar because if your mango is all sweet and ripe, that will give you the sweet taste. What you do is cut up the fruits and blend together with a bit of ice cubes plus the yogurt. And you're done. It's real healthy and definitely a fresh treat for an April Summers day.

heart pan pizza

The choice would surely be this recipe for the month of February. V day is coming, so this might be a some kind of delivery you would do for a some one?

Ingredients:
- 1 pack of pizza dough
- 1/2 kg minced meat
- 4 large tomatoes
- 1 large onion
- oregano
- salt n pepper
- salami

How to fix it up:
Shape the dough in to a heart shape while you get the diced tomatoes and chopped onions in a pan. Add in the minced meat, oregano, salt n pepper to meet your taste. Cook until the meat has turned light brown and the tomatoes have dissolved in to a paste texture. Top the topping on the dough and grate cheese and heart shaped salami on top. Leave to bake for approx 10 to 15 mins in the oven and it's all ready to be taken out!

super fudge

Here goes another recipe of my Icip-icip collection. This was published for CosmoGIRL! Indonesia in the December 2005 edition.

Ingredients for 24 pieces of Super Fudge:

400 ml condensed milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 tablespoons butter
1 pack of chocolate chips
1 bar of cooking chocolate
¾ cup of nuts (chopped and grilled)

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in to a pan and add the chocolate chips, cooking chocolate, and vanilla. Stir steadily over the stove for about 5 minutes. Poor in the chopped nuts and stir all together then leave to chill. Prepare a 30 cm X 20 cm baking tray and smother with margarine. Poor batter into tray and make sure surface is even. Wrap the tray with alumunium foil and store in the fridge until the fudge is hard enough (not too hard). Cut fudge in to square pieces and store in a cookie jar. Et voila!
